MARC CHAGALL PAINTER IN MANTUA
Marc Chagall (Vitebsk, July 7, 1887 â € "Saint-Paul-de-Vence, 28 March 1985) is a Belarusian-born French painter, of Hasidic Jewish background.
He spent a happy childhood, despite the miserable conditions in which Russian Jews lived under the rule of the tsars. ² began studying painting in 1906, then went through a period in St. Petersburg then moved to France.
Chagall in his works was inspired by popular life of European Russia and portrayed many biblical episodes that reflect his Jewish heritage. In the sixties and seventies, you stood where large-scale projects involving ² public areas and important religious and civil buildings.
There will be an exhibition of painting by the great artist in Mantua, at the Palazzo della Ragione until 3 February titled "Marc Chagall as in painting, so in poetry", edited by Gabriella Di Milia. Mantova 130 works, including 7 teleri Jewish theater in Moscow.
